Huck Finn Day: Sunday October 30
The Maryland Chapter of Trout Unlimited (MDTU) will sponsor the second annual Huck Finn Day, a fishing and environmental education event for children 15 years old and younger on Stony Run between Wyndhurst Avenue and Oakdale Road on Sunday, October 30, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Saturday October 15, volunteers will learn how to conduct stability monitoring measurements on Jones Falls at the site of a recent restoration project which restored more than 550 feet of natural trout stream habitat in place of a concrete channel that was virtually devoid of aquatic life.

MDTU's April speaker (April 20th @ 7:30pm) is Tom Baltz, the Orvis Northeast Trout Guide of the Year in 2001. Tom guides on the famous trout streams of south-central Pennsylvania's Cumberland Valley including the renowned Yellow Breeches Creek, the Letort, and Big Spring.
