National Volunteer Week gives us an opportunity to pause and celebrate the impact of volunteers like those that donate 750,000-plus hours each year with TU.

Despite challenging and uncertain times in the last year, volunteers brought to life the Trout Unlimited mission in a variety of new and innovative ways through virtual engagements, on-your-own river clean-ups, online advocacy campaigns and other community focused conservation activities. We could not have achieved all that we did last year without your help.

While we appreciate volunteers throughout the year, we wanted to make this National Volunteer Week, a week of jubilation and celebration.  In addition to special events throughout the week, we are bringing folks together in communities across the nation to highlight uplifting stories of volunteerism through the Spirit of TU culminating event on Friday, April 23.

Learn more about the Spirit of TU nominees by following TU social media stories and plan to join us on April 23 to “meet” the nominees and listen in live for big announcements. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join the fun on Friday!  Register here.

Are you looking for conservation minded beverage suggestions for the event?  Look no further!  If you are seeking a brew, consider long time TU supporter Sweetwater Brewing Company or Pelican Brewing Company’s 5 Fin West Coast Pilsner, with some proceeds going to TU’s Salmon SuperHwy.  If coffee speaks to your palate, consider conservation advocates Wild Rivers Coffee Co. whose Signature Blend provides proceeds to TU.  Looking for a sipper or a cocktail? Consider Tincup, TU Business member and conservation advocate, purveying a bourbon-profiled American, a bold straight rye, and an aged ten year whisky.

If you would like to make 2021 the year to volunteer, contact us to learn more about the variety of options to make a difference.
