Director of TU’s Headwaters Youth Program
As the Director of the Headwaters program, Franklin is responsible for connecting young anglers and conservationists to TU’s coldwater mission. He dedicates time and energy to helping chapters develop educational programs that focus on K-12 and college aged youth, plus he supports the Headwaters Stream of Engagement model through a variety of fundraising and partnership efforts. Franklin started his environmental education career in the Four Corners and Pacific Northwest regions, working for a host of non-profit agencies and schools. Prior to coming to TU in 2009, he served as Dean of the Service-Learning Program at Warren Wilson College. He lives in Asheville and is an avid collector of vintage Italian scooters.
