Women’s interest and involvement in the sport of fishing is growing and becoming more of a focus in the industry. Simms announced last week the introduction of the new Women’s G3 Guide Z Stockingfoot and Women’s Freestone Z Stockingfoot waders.
These women-specific waders are made for women, by women who fish. The new designs feature a TiZip waterproof side zipper for easy on and off capabilities and streamside relief. The G3 Guide Z Stockingfoot Wader features Simms’ patented front and back leg seam to provide greater mobility, fit and durability. Also featured in both new styles are anatomically correct left and right stockingfeet for better fit, as well as Simms’ built-in Gravel Guards to keep debris out.
“The women’s side zip wader evolved because we were trying to fill a need of fit and function specifically for women,” said Simms Product Development ManagerPatricia Beernink. “We patterned it to fit a women’s body, then built and tested it extensively.”
The new Women’s G3 Guide Z Stockingfoot Wader, made in Bozeman, Mont., was designed with the avid female angler in mind, featuring a durable and incredibly breathable three-layer GORE-TEX upper and four-layer GORE-TEX in the legs and seat. For improved fit, mobility and comfort, the adjustable suspenders are anchored at the waist to allow a customized fit as well as a waist-high conversion for warmer days on the water. The new waders also feature a removeable tippet tender pocket and a front zipper pocket for storage, as well as a reach through micro-fleece lined zippered hand warmer pocket.
The anatomically engineered neoprene stockingfeet are also treated with an anti-microbial finish. The new Women’s G3 Guide Z is available in 13 sizes (small through XXL; with short, full and tall options) and will retail for $649.95.
The Women’s Freestone Z Stockingfoot Wader is built with a breathable and durable four-layer Toray QuadraLam fabric throughout and the waterproof TiZip side zipper allows easy on and off capabilities. The suspenders on the Freestone Z are anchored at the waist and are adjustable for an improved fit. For storage and hand warmth, the new wader features a zippered micro-fleece lined hand warmer pocket as well as a front zippered chest pocket. The new Women’s Freestone Z brings women into the sport of fishing and into the Simms family for life. Available in 11 sizes (small through XXL; with short and full options), the Women’s Freestone Z will retail for $379.95.
