Hatch Outdoors is running a contest through the end of the week (July 31) featuring the venerable Clouser Minnow and photos of all the fish it catches.
The idea is simple: go fishing, use a chartreuse-and-white Clouser, post the photos of the fish the fly helps you catch on either Facebook or Instagram (#oneflyfitsall), and you’ll be eligible to win some great Hatch swag, along with goodies from both Traeger Grills and Umpqua Feather Merchants.
First, you need to sign up for the contest — you still have a few days, so get on it. Then, find a chartreuse and white Clouser Minnow, and fish only that fly.
“This is not a contest about catching the best or biggest fish,” a news release from Hatch reads. “It’s about getting out on the water and challenging yourself to fish one fly, no matter the conditions.”
As noted, Hatch has teamed up with Traeger Grills and Umpqua to create three prize packs to offer over $4,000 worth of gear to the contestants. There will be fresh and saltwater prize packs, and a special Traeger “Smokin Release” category.
Contestants will be asked post a photo of their catch to either Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #oneflyfitsall.
The top five finalists will be chosen per category at the discretion of the Hatch team members and the final three prize pack winners will be chosen by public vote. Good photos will be rewarded. Again, the contest ends July 31.
