Fly fishing filmmaking has come a long way in a relatively short time—the advent of DSLR cameras, drones and even the GoPro and the immitators have made the craft accessible to a lot of anglers. But not everybody does it well. In fact, I’d suggest a small handful of filmmakers really knock it out of the park.
While I can’t understand a word in the short film above, I’d say it’s absolutely one of the most beautiful short fly fishing films I’ve ever seen. It helps, of course, to have the Arctic scenery as the main character, but even the human elements toward the end are compelling. Thanks to Arctic Silver for putting together a truly wonderful eight-minute experience. It made my day.
