Community Conservation

Aquaz and TU Alaska

The Trout Unlimited Alaska team is excited to introduce a new partnership with Aquaz Fishing. The new offer will help raise funds to support TU’s work in Southeast Alaska, specifically with the America’s Salmon Forest campaign focused on maintaining and, where needed, restoring the spawning and rearing habitat for fish and wildlife in the Tongass National Forest.

America’s Salmon Forest is a coalition of fishermen, business owners and private citizens working together to conserve high-quality salmon and trout habitat in the Tongass, America’s largest national forest.

Atop the list of our work is conserving areas like the “Tongass 77,” which are especially important to fish and wildlife and the people that use them. Roughly a decade ago, Trout Unlimited joined forces with scientists, federal and state biologists, outfitters and guides, commercial fishermen, and stakeholders from a variety of walks of life to identify the most prolific trout and salmon-producing areas in the Tongass and set out to create additional conservation measures to ensure their long-term productivity.

If you spent any time in Southeast Alaska you know how important it is to stay dry. For more than 30 years, Aquaz Fishing has manufactured premium, waterproof products, including waders, wading jackets and more. For any purchases made over the next 6 months with our custom code (AKSF2020) Aquaz will donate 25% of all sales to our restoration and conservation work to ensure the fish and wildlife of this special region of Alaska continue to thrive.

By using the code and purchasing a new pair of waders or jacket from Aquaz, you will help take care of America’s Salmon Forest. Check them out and make sure to tag us on social (@AmericanSalmonForest) as you get out and use your new gear!

Thank you, Aquaz, for caring enough to give back to the places you and your customers love to fish!
