Ask Kirk Deeter shows above, making a point to practice casting a few times year will help you iron out the kinks in your cast and identify some issues that are best addressed before you hit the water. Get out to the local park pond (or even just the grass in the front yard) and start casting. Wouldn’t you rather know what problems you’re up against before you hit the water?
