As state legislatures begin to wrap up we thought it might be time you meet the faces behind the scenes — ones keeping your public lands in public hands and safeguarding fish, wildlife and your fishing habits.
Trout Unlimited has been working in state legislatures across the country for more than a decade, finding ways to get good things done for trout at the state and local level. We are one of the few, if not the only conservation organization that sends staff to represent anglers at every Western state legislature.
“Trout Unlimited’s work in state capitols is critical to our cold-water conservation mission,” said Greg McReynolds, Intermountain director at Trout Unlimited. “State legislatures are where the rubber hits the road for fish and wildlife management and funding.”
