Many anglers don’t love just watching a bobber drifting down while fishing with nymphs. Perhaps it’s just too reminiscent of time spent on a lake conventional fishing before fly fishing took hold. Maybe it’s because they want to stay true to traditional fly fishing techniques. Or maybe that angler just wants more of a challenge and another tool in the arsenal.
