The Fly Fishing Film Tour is combining forces with Trout Unlimited to release a special edition of the 2019 F3T today (Thursday, April 23), available to rent for one week, leading up to the release of the film for purchase on May 1 via Vimeo.
The special edition will be co-hosted by Hank Patterson, includes three giveaways, a never-before-seen Hank Patterson feature film and tips on how to submit a film for our 2021 tour. Better yet, the proceeds from the rental will be shared with TU.

The 2019 Fly Fishing Film Tour has a great local slate of content. Viewers are still going to see the outer edge of Australia and visit an island deep in French Polynesia, but they’re also going to see some of America’s most storied fisheries in Yellowstone, visit the Henry’s Fork and virtually fish the South Fork of the Snake.
You’re going to see Wisconsin musky caught on the fly and journey to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Viewers will be taken to the edge of British Columbia and get a close-up look at Oregon steelhead rivers. They’ll go on the hunt for stripers under the New York City skyline. Every angler will see something familiar as well as plenty to add to their bucket list.
Our feature film will be the full-length version of the Hank Patterson Original, “How To Make An Award Winning Fly Fishing Film Tour Film,” complete with some great laughs and followed up with some solid tips to encourage the audience to submit films for the 2021 tour.
This year the F3T will have three free giveaways that the tour hopes will encourage people to purchase the rental so more money can be raised for TU, and to support local fly shops and guides. Each package will include the following.
(1) F3T raffle included with rental: A Yeti cooler, pair of Costa sunglasses, Simms Dry Creek Z backpack, Amplitude fly line from Scientific Anglers, Evolution R Ross Reel, Oskar Blues bar light, F3T care package, artwork from Matt Stockton, a Thomas & Thomas fly rod and one person will be entered into a trip to the Seychelles courtesy of Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures and Alphonse Fishing Lodge.
(2) Hank Patterson Fly Shop and Guide Support Giveaway: Here is another chance to win a Yeti Cooler, a pair of Costa Sunglasses or Dry Creek Z Backpack. Spend $100 with any fly shop or guide around the country and email Hank to enter the drawing. Viewers who spend $500 will get five entries; those who spend $1,000 will receive 10 entries. Viewers just need to keep their receipts just in case they win.
