Video spotlight: South—The Road Trip

New Zealand’s South Island is known for its off-the-charts brown trout fishing, and for most of us outside of Kiwi borders, seeing is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure (if that) that generally involves parachuting in for a week, maybe two, and sampling a small number of rivers. But what if we had a camper van, a raft and autumn to burn?

The film above is one of those eye-candy fly fishing movies that shows off the unreal fishing for giant browns in crisp fall weather on the South Island. If this trip is on your bucket list, give it a watch, and put yourself in the camper van, armed with a season’s supply of nymphs and a shoulder ready to face off against some of the most impressive wild trout on the planet.
