Every year, Trout Unlimited hosts its Costa 5 Rivers Ambassador Summit, where college anglers from across the country come together for a week of conservation, fishing and community.
In 2025, the Summit took place on the Wind River Reservation in central Wyoming. Idyllic for its natural resource conservation, the Wind River Reservation boasts vast expanses of angling and hunting opportunities. Along with Indifly and the Wind River Fish and Game Department, the Summit connects student leaders with meaningful work and a whole lot of fun.
Students bring their experiences fly fishing and an understanding of conservation to the Wind River community. They engage in conservation projects, teach fly fishing to community youth and build relationships grounded in a shared respect for rivers and the communities depend on them.
Ultimately, this Summit is helping forge fly fishing into the blueprint of the Wind River Reservation. Sharing insights into the importance of protecting native species, healthy habitats and thriving rivers and streams for generations knitted together in this community.
At its core, the Summit is an exchange; an exchange of knowledge and skills, an exchange of conservation ideals and a building of community.
Blueprint is a reflection of that exchange and a reminder that the future of conservation is actively unfolding.
