Print Communications

Being engaged in the digital sphere, making sure your chapter or council has an inviting and up-to-date website, an active social media presence, and is regularly communicating with members and supporters by email is essential in this day and age.

But, completely foregoing any type of print communications will hinder your local member engagement efforts, the success of your fundraising programs, and the impact of your volunteer opportunities.

You may only reach 20-30% of your members digitally, but you can reach nearly 100% of them with printed mailings, so be sure to plan – and budget – for some print products.

Along with mailed pieces to members, having printed promotional pieces visible and present in your local communities is also important. Hang posters on library bulletin boards, leave stacks of postcards in local fly shops, create a chapter tri-fold brochure and arm your board and volunteers with dozens of copies to hand out to anglers and community members they meet.
